CREATING EU VILLAGES: EQUIPPING YOUNG PEOPLE WITH TOOLS, SKILLS, AND CONNECTIONS FOR ENHANCED SOCIETAL PARTICIPATION
EmpoweRing rural youth for a brighter future
ABOUT THE PROJECT
OBJECTIVES
Creating EU Villages aims to bring more opportunities and European values into remote areas which used to be left behind when it comes to youth work. Rural youth will be empowered to create their own youth clubs to gather and run activities, as well as youth-led info desks to support their peers and raise overall participation. Those working with rural youngsters will receive useful tools to successfully reach their target group and their communities will benefit from increased opportunities.
IMPACT
We expect to gather the voices of rural youth and those working with them, subsequently understanding their struggles and being able to create a comprehensive Guide which will empower many youngsters to create their own info desks and youth clubs and improve youth workers' approach to the needs of rural youth. The implementation of the project will boost rural youth's participation, connection to local stakeholders and NGOs as well as the visibility of the obstacles they face.

research phase
One of the first steps in developing and raising youth participation is identifying the barriers that may affect young people’s ability to participate. The research, carried out at local and national levels, focuses on specific issues for rural youth, such as gathering, creating, and managing youth clubs, and accessing information about opportunities. This approach aims to help them actively participate in their local communities.

manual creation
A manual based on the outcome of the research and interviews for rural youth and people working with or trying to include rural youth is being released. The manual will help those working with youth to understand their special needs and particular problems related to inclusion in social and civic life. Manual for the creation of youth groups & informal groups
The partners of the CEUV project have developed a comprehensive manual providing guidelines for establishing youth clubs and organisations, complete with essential management tools. This manual aims to empower rural youth and those with fewer opportunities by supporting them in creating their own clubs and organisations and engaging their peers within their communities. The youth workers from the consortium's organisations have contributed their expertise, experience, and knowledge to this valuable resource.
